Sahara
The Sahara Hotel and Casino opened 1952 and is also one of the older hotels located on the strip. The Moroccan-themed hotel has 1,720 rooms and a casino covering more than 85,000 square feet, and sits on 55 acres including the empty adjoining land. It is a mix of classic Las Vegas and the new Las Vegas. One feature on the new side is the roller coaster that goes throughout the property, as well as having a stop on the Las Vegas Monorail. The Sahara is the last remaining “Rat Pack” hotel, and is the northernmost resort on the east side of the Strip next to The Rivera; Circus Circus is located nearby.
